Low Quality or High Quality?

The Good

There are honest and reputable foundation contractors with a history of successful service in Fort Bend county. It is important that you ask plenty of questions of every foundation contractor you speak with.

The Bad

The most commonly installed foundation repair system / method is the “Pushed Piles” method and it is less than acceptable, according to most independent structural engineers. There are various versions of the “Pushed Piles” repair method but they all have multiple and significant drawbacks and disadvantages. The Ugly

• Most new homes are built with “minimally functional” foundations, that is, with a minimum of concrete and steel rebar.
• Virtually ALL foundation contractors have Mandatory Arbitration clauses in their contracts that prohibit the homeowner from suing them for shoddy work or failed foundation repair jobs.
• Some foundation contractors with numerous bad reviews and lawsuits declare Corporate Bankruptcy and start a new corporation with a “clean slate.”
• Failed Foundation Repair Jobs – most “Pushed Pile” foundation repair jobs will fail at some point because they are temporary, not permanent solutions. Hint – If a foundation repair job needs 2 or more adjustments then it is a failed repair job.
